Mattress Topper - advice needed on best to get
2 Answers
Hi everyone, I'm hoping you'll be able to give me some advice on mattress toppers. A friend recommended I buy one as my mattress is a little on the firm side. I definitely want feather/down as a lady of a certain age I find that memory foam is too warm for me.
Can anyone recommend which type of topper to get. I've seen single layer and also double. Also, is there any advice you can give on type of feather - goose or duck and the percentage of each that I should aim for. I daresay a few of you out there must have these toppers, so I'm hoping you can pass on your own experiences with them. What not to buy is just as useful as what to buy. Thank you all.

As soon as I got home I did some research and found what I wanted in John Lewis, a dual layer feather topper.
We bought this for £140. (our mattress cost a few hundred so it was worth it - not much point in my opinion in fitting this to a cheap mattress).
Anyway. Excellent buy. It is soooooo comfortable. Nothing better than going to bed after it has been fluffed up when changing the bedding!
