I was just about to say "No, he died on [insert date here] at the age of [age]", but I have just checked my death list and he isn't on it.  So he must be alive.  (My death list is a list of everybody who has died since 1993, who is (according to my subjective judgement) famous enough to be included in my list.  If he had died, I would have put him on my list, but he isn't, so therefore he must be still alive.

Milton Obote however, former president of Uganda, is not so alive and kicking, and died last week in exile in Zambia.

I do find it difficult to call any leader anything other than a dictator when he outlaws all opposition parties and puts in prison any who tries to disobey his diktat.
