I'm Welsh and I have no idea - doesn't Welshyorkie live on/near Anglesey? He would know how to say it.

we went there, and the closest i could come was ross-knee-ger although i am convinced that cannot be right

it's a place in anglesey
Go to Menai bridge or Holyhead...easier to pronounce... or there's always Llanfairpwllgwyngyll-gogerychwyrndrobwll-llan

we were staying there rowan and we just referred to it as llanfair p.g.
as do the locals.. Moelfre is my favourite place on the island although Church island is wonderfully peaceful especially late evenings when the stars are coming out

You pronounce it Rhoss - nye - ger.
Horsehsoes is quite right, that's the way to pronounce it, it's a lovely place!...........
Absolutely beautiful beach, as are many around North West Wales.
horseshoes, yes it's stunning there, haven't been for a few years now, but have spent many a happy day on that beach!........and many others in Angelsey too!......
Rhos = Marsh or Moor
Neigr = Possibly a Person who owned the Land many decades ago, so Rhosneigr is possibly Moor owned by Neigr ! Just a guess really.
Maybe Neigr is a variation of this person's proper name ?
