In my job i need a Fire Book for health and safety and i need to find out where the water hydrants are in my area. Is there a website where i can find this out? I live in the Leeds area.

Don't know about a website, but maybe the local Fire Brigade can help you..............
The yellow hydrant plates should be easy to spot, just go for a walk around

well thats what i thought. i have been on fire marshall training today and i suggested that the fire service would know but they said i had to find it for myself?!?!?
Your water company will know where every one of them is.
Oh hollie, not very helpful of them!.....dottys suggestion seems your best bet then, have you looked around for the yellow plates?......
If you find a hydrant plate, the top number inside the "H" is the diameter of the connector in millimetres, and the bottom number is the distance from the plate in metres, in the direction the plate is facing.
I think Fire Hydrant is FH on an Ordnance Survey map when the map is to a large enough scale to mark them.
