Met Office bonuses

I see the Met office are awarding themselves bonuses totalling £1.4 million as they have 'met or exceeeded' targets.This means approximately £800 per person.
The annual bonus for the Chief Scientist rose by a third to £30,000; the Chief Executive got £50,000 bonus.
They claim to have offered 'good advice and exceptional guidance'.
Does anyone else agree with their self- assessment?

What Targets? They only "Predict" the Weather and rarely get it right.

The Met Office is no longer a service, it is a profit making organisation. And assuming they make a profit, they can award themselves as they please.

Oddly enough, I could not find the targets and who verified them in the section they refer to.

Doesn't matter whether we agree or not - banks, met office, uncle Tom Cobley - as long as they agree internally.....

So their temperature taget was they didn't have one but they still tick the box for target acieved. And they didn't hit their rainfall target.
