Partner burned pot help

Partner steamed veg with drop of water and now pot is burned well black from lack of water. Any ideas how to remove black. Thanks

What material is pot made from?

Stainless? You'll have to wire-wool it. I doubt scotchbrite will remove.

I read somewhere that leaving it to soak in flat coca cola will remove burned on stains, but then I guess soaking it will do that anyway.

disolve non biological washing powder - leave it for as long as it takes -may take a week

Soak overnight in biological washing powder. Also good for oven shelves.

soak overnight ,put a dishwasher tablet in the water

If nothing suggested here is working and you are sure the pot is steel then you could try Oven Mate which is available from Lakeland.

Pour bleach straight from the bottle and cover bottom of pan, add a little water leave overnight, might need a second go next night. Make sure you rinse well.
