I have a winter coat that I need to wear this evening. It states on the lable that it has to be dry cleaned (but havent have time to take it down - although I have had all summer!!)

It is a white, not furry but material, and I think it has a silkish lining. Would I be ok, do you think to wash it at home - either on a cold short cycle/hand wash just so I can wear it tonight?

You can get a special bag and addative to dry clean a garment in the tumble dryer. I used this on a silk tie a couple of years agao and it worked a treat.
