I remember seeing builders in Egypt working 5 storeys high without scaffolding, just a few bamboo poles tied together. That was also scary.

I'm scared of heights, so I could not do those jobs.

Hi Gromit, I've been to Sri Lanka a few times and all they use for scaffolding is bamboo. Apparently it is very strong and works well. You also see local workers shovelling and levelling road tar wearing nothing but shorts and flip flops... does look a bit scary.

i have walked across any number of these glass floors, one is in a local hospital would you believe and it scares me to death, i avoid them where possible.
