it took 3 years for the HA to move a neighbour here on. She was drug taking, dealing, filled her shed with refuse from the house (including nappies- this meant we then had flies all about) left her children to go to the toilet all over the floor indoors, used the most disgusting language at all times, directed both at neighbours and her children, would vomit from...

hi redcrx, sadly we are not in a position to ove financially, have a mortgage and on disability benefits, war pension etc, living day to day. The HA are aware, just called them ( again ) but maybe their hands are tied too ? Wonder if I can take legal action 'injunction' or whatever against the HA for their 'tenant' ? Wish i could move -- oh joy of joys :-)

I can sympathise with david, but it does take time :(
And it wouldn't be helped along a lot quicker if you involved another body? Like the EH as I suggested?
I don't know personally, as I've (luckily) never had to deal with a situation like this, but I know for a fact I wouldn't put up with it for months ,never mind years.
Surely ringing EH can't hurt? Worth a try at least.

Im in the very same boat as you. As Boo says you need to get the Environmental Health involved, ring them and explain the situation. They will (normally) come and see you and if they think it warrants it, place a sound recording device in your property to record Decibel levels and verbal shouting/swearing etc. Ive had two in my flat for a week each time to record my delightful neighbour. Once the EH were happy that they had sufficient evidence they served a written warning on my neighbour. This did calm him down for a while but after a month or so passed he went back to his old ways and started again so i contacted them again (as did other neighbours) and this time they served a Noise Abatement notice on him which basically gives them the power to enter his flat and confiscate all of his audio equipment and music etc. Housing Associations are notoriously slow and weak despite all their rules and policies on Anti-social behaviour, they dont seem to like to enforce them. If you have other neighbours that are also being effected, it may help to speak with them and might give you more backing when speaking with your Housing Association. Good luck!
Check to see if your local council has an anti social behaviour line, these are the people who can issue instant ASBOs, I did it to my former neighbour and she got an instant £100 fine, think they fine twice and then they confiscate the equipment, and I have heard of them being banned from their property, with the property being boared up to stop entry.
Hello everyone - had a chat with EH, they are 'aware' of this situation from other residents - also ahve made contact again with housing trust, they've been to her this morning, we heard her ( gobby mouth ) moaning to anyone ( fellow low-lifes next door ) who will lend her the ear and fanny around her - we are going to ignore her as much as we can, cold shoulder etc, amass as much evidence we can play the official line . . not easy but they are very violent people she has next door to her, and we are getting on now, I had my mwedals fopr war conflicts but THIS is a different situation - anyone got a spare cluster bomb handy ( only joking )
we shall hand the situation 'upstairs' and let the universe sort her out as they say what goes around . . .
