Thomas Tilley

I am trying to find the parents of this man who was born about 1783 and married Elizabeth Brey in1808. I would be grateful if someone could help me.

the IGI does have a Thomas Tilly baptised 24 April 1778 at St mary Hinckley, Leicestershire son of John and Sarah Tilly, it is quite close to the estimated birth date of 1783 based on his marriage. Have you identified any siblings from later records?

They were John Tilley and Sarah Baldwin, they had a son Nathaniel born 1780 in Hinckley, you might find him on the census. (he is on the 1861 acrually) I would look at that family and tie them all together

3 different ancestry members have nathaniel in their tree and show his full records yet not one of them has bothered to add his siblings and trace their entries, why can't people see how essential to your research it is to tie up all those loose ends? All his sisters and brothers baptisms are there on the IGI and would help trace their later records but they have ignored them.

Thank you, Dotty, I know nothing about his siblings, if he had any. He was, however, living in Leicester Forest, and was married in Kirby Muxloe.
