Can someone explain to a doddery old man how wi-fi and blackberry work together. I have been given a blackberry phone and it picks up the wi-fi in the house. Does that mean I am getting the internet for free on the phone?
Sorry if this does not make sense.

Simple answer... yes.

If you are using your home wi-fi you will not be using your phone network for internet, you are using the same connection as your computer uses.
