to have swollen feet and ankles, I just returned home from holiday yesterday we had a 2 hour coach trip to the airport then 4 and and a quarter hours on the plane and then an hour and a half by car from the airport by the time I got home yesterday evening they looked like a pair of balloons.
Some people are overweight, don't move their legs during a journey or exercise, some have poor venous return at the best of times., some have varicose veins ..........many things that could differentiate you from your friend.
agree with annemollie - I wear my flight socks for any longish journey and also just sometimes if my legs/ankles have that tired/puffy feeling I put them on for an hour or so. Makes a big difference.
will have to give flight socks a try, Im not overweight Sqad and moved more than my friend as I needed the loo a couple of times on the plane, she sat still in her seat for the whole of the journey, I dont have varicose veins, so maybe its the poor venous return what exactly is that?
I get swollen feet and ankles fruitsalad, the first time was only three years ago when we were in Majorca on holiday, it was very hot weather and we hadn't had much exercise. When I arrived home my feet were swollen and took a while to go down, a check up with my GP and he gave me some water tablets to take.... I still take them. It must be an age related thing too.
gran it was very hot weather, and they went down the very next day, just puzzled me as to why it happens, but like you say its probably an age related thing
