Higher apprenticeship application

I've applied for a higher apprenticeship scheme at Rolls Royce, which said it required 3 a levels between A-C and in maths and either physics or chemistry.. or equivalent. I sent them my CV and filled their application form out and notified that I had completed my AS levels in maths and physics but not A level but I did go to uni and do my foundation year in physics. They emailed me saying they need to talk about some things about my application, so does anyone know or think what it could be about, whether its not a strong enough application to carry it on further? thanks in advance

Its probably to discuss the fact that you haven't got the A levels specified, they will want to talk about what qualifications you do have and whether they are suitable instead.

If it wasn't a strong enough application for them to want to carry it further, I would imagine that they would have sent you a letter to that effect and wouldn't bother asking you to discuss your application.

I used to work in a College and if a student applied for a course that they didn't have the necessary GSCE's to get onto, the Course Leader would often invite them in to discuss the GSCE's they did have. It was also an opportunity for the Course Leader to decide whether they thought the candidate would be suitable for the course despite not having the exact correct exam results.
