Duckling with hiccups.

While walking this morning near the village pond I heard one of the new little
ducklings making a regular throat noise which sound like hiccups.
I watched for some time and the noises were about every 5 seconds but the bird didn't seem to be in distress and the parents weren't showing any concern.
Is this a problem for the little mite and should I alert anyone?

It's not uncommon for birds to get hiccups (Google for 'bird hiccups' - lots of links - including videos!). Doesn't seem to do them any harm.
