Sorry ric.ror but it's not a horror story about actually flying...it's what happened to a guy whilst on a plane...really...honest injun.

heres a true story an American guy I knew in Dubai was returning to Dubai via London on a KLM flight he bought the guy next to him [ a stranger] a beer the guy bought him one back and they chatted then the guy fell asleep and started to lean over towards him he gently pushed him back and when it happened for the third time he realised the guy was dead. Not wanting to cause a panic he went to the front of the plane and asked to see the captain - to his astonishment they all thought he was a hi jacker and put their hands in the air !no.no I want to report that the guy sitting next to me is his words "dead as a mackerel" by now he had the captains attention, captain said go back and sit down and I will pretend to come and talk to you and see for myself, if he is dead are you willing to sit next to him if we strap him in with his seat belt, if you do we can offer you to tickets to anywhere in the world we fly to. So the captain came down strapped the guy in and when my friend got off the plane in Dubai the guy was still sitting there.

Gosh Dee Sa, what an interesting story! If they offered me tickets to anywhere in the world, I'd be quite prepared to stay put!

Yes, white knuckles all the way, watched a video clip earlier of an airplane getting zapped by an incredible bolt of lightning, enough to put you off for life.

You can't get over the moon by tunnel, flying is your only choice. And as I have never been able to fly, it has never been a problem for me.
