Which are the best free friend or dating forums you know of?

After a long time in a hellbound relationship we've decided to call it a day. This was 6 months ago and I've decided to put myself back on the market looking for some good female friends and after that who knows as I'm not in a rush, I don't mind using lesbian/bisexual sites either as like I said it's just friends and as you may know if you've visited a gay club many lesbian/bisxual women have some really hot friends but like I said just looking for friends initially. many thanks for any help pointers or advice, Rr.

POF is free though I was put off a bit as there are options for things like "intimate encounter" and I'd rather be on a site which is more relationship based - I know you get people just looking for that on other dating sites but it put me off. If looking for friends then, especially if you are near a city, see if there are local socialising groups about like City Socialising. Not many are free but some have initial free events or offers you might be able to check out.

I'm not sure of your rationale for the lesbian/bisexual sites (if I understand you right), not the why but more the reasoning for it. Not the best basis for making and maintaining new friendships as it sounds a bit shallow.
