LOL jack ... I was tempted to not post ... as I have avoided posting over the past year (yes, I think it's been that long).
But you're right ... I have always been convinced of Amanda and Raphael's innocence. I have read ...
Murder in Italy by Candace Dempsey
The Murder of Meredith Kercher by Gary C King
Darkness Descending Injustice in Perugia
Walking with Amanda by Florisbela de Jesus
Angel Face by Barbie Latza Nadeau
The Framing of Amanda Knox by Mark Waterbury
The Study Abroad Murder by Will Savive
These books all have varying "takes" on the murder. Some of them, like "Angel Face" are vitriolic "anti Amanda" tirades, where the author is convinced that she was a cold blooded killer.
However, the more I read, the more I became utterly convinced of one thing ... two innocent students had been framed by a corrupt prosecutor.
We have known since the start of the trial that the evidence simply did not fit.
Amanda was convicted for one reason - because the Italian Police convinced the Press to publish a negative image of her - which most people swallowed hook, line and sinker. Raphael was convicted for one reason - because he was associated with Amanda, and the false image of her that had been circulated.
The DNA evidence was always laughable. But the Police managed to manipulate a few headlines ... "clod blooded killer" "DNA on the knife" "DNA on the bra clasp" ... and suddenly, the world believed the Police's fairy story. Even jno was taken in, apparently!
I was sufficiently convinced of her innocence to send money to Amanda'a Defence Fund (Paphael didn't need it - his family are loaded).
Yes - Amanda IS innocent.
She and Raphael WILL win their appeal.
Once it is over, the prosecutor (Mignini), who already has a criminal conviction for abuse of power and fabricating evidence (yes, really!!!) should face another enquiry, and he should go to prison for a long time.
ps. Good Morning, guys ... x x x
