Does anyone know when the ipad 3 is coming out? Most references to it on the internet seem to be rumours.

theyve only jkust brought out the ipad 2. I wouldnt expect to see a 3 until late next year at earliest.

Thanks. A friend thought she was going to get one in Singapore at the weekend. She obviously hasn`t done her research.

The iPad 2 only came out a few months ago. There are rumours that in September they may introduced a a version which may have the retina display (the same quality as the iPhone 4). It would essentially be the same iPad form but with a better display. This would give it a sales boost in the all important Christmas market.

She said something about it costing nearly £800. I think she`s got confused somewhere. Maybe it`s ipad 2 with 3G and she thought it was ipad 3. If that`s the case then it might be cheaper in Singapore and worth a shopping trip.

Apple usually keep the same prices (iPad2 was the same price as iPad1).

So the prices start with the basic wifi only model at £399

I know she definitely said something about 3G and wi fi. There seems to be much confusion all round. I don`t know whether it`s on her part or mine! That`ll teach us to have the conversation after a few glasses of wine!
If you can get ipads from electronic stores and not apple then Sim Lim Square in Singapore is the place. You can blag a discount if they`re in a good mood.
