information in police statement
7 Answers
I made a report to the police, which was investigated by way of interviewing two people in relation to the report i made. A police officer has told me something which was stated by one of those people, which contradicts the other person, as this is relative to part of my report, can i use this knowledge? or obtain a copy of that statement? It would prove that a lie has been told which is significant in the matter. I would like to use it as evidence in the civil court. The police are unable to proceed due to lack of evidence at this time.

I will call the solicitor tomro and ask outright what is holding this back from being divulged and go from there. thanks again.
i used it in a case where i was a defendant (ie: the apparent witnesses statements contradicted each other) and it was mentioned in court and the supposed witnesses ended up admitting they had lied and i was found rightfully not guilty. def use what u know... and go through all statements with a fine tooth comb
