Thank you both.
I would say Sat if local but otherwise Friday to be on the safe side, better to arrive a day early than a day late.
I'm with Deesa on this - have posted too many 1st class and had them arrive up to three days later to recommend leaving it until Saturday.
I would not chance leaving it until Saturday. Friday would be my latest choice. I really hate having birthday cards a day late. If I receive one early I put it on the shelf and open it on the right day. A day late looks as if it was a last minute thought - (oops I forgot)
Take it to the local sorting office on Friday, AFTER the last posting time.

Then it will be processed very first thing Saturday morning.
I try to post cards to arrive a day early so if the recipient goes out early & their postal delivery is late in the day they already have it for their birthday morning.
I would post mine on a Thursday as I know only too well how slap-dash RM can be at times, prefer early than late. I know this as well because with my bday near Xmas I have cards coming in from late November through to January.....nice to have them but it means I'm reminded I'm another year older for longer LOL.

Posted it late Friday evening with a 2nd class stamp. It arrived Saturday morning. :-(
You must have posted it before the last collection.

That's it. As others have said, it's better being early rather than late.
