I'm struggling to find a place on the 1911
I've been there, I know where it shouls be, but can't just get to it. My dad lived there in 1923-1926 ans from 1942-1948, I have found on the ED in 1901 (the place was built in about 1300 and so it has been in the same place for a while). It is Bradley (or Bradleigh) Old Hall Burtonwood. I guess in 1911 it couls concievably have ben include din one of the earlestown EDs, it does not seem to be in he Burtonwood ED (of which ancestry mysterously has ED 2 and that is it!). The occupants in 1911 should be the Fairclough family, (the son married my great aunt) but after 3 attempts to find it in 1911 I am drawing a blank and getting fed up, so, anyone else having time to search, brill! Hi Rose, thanks for that, They are the right ones, the son married my grandmas sister, but before that, the Faircloughs sold the Hall and farm to my Dad's grandfather who lived there until 1922 and then my Dad's parents took it over but whern my dad's sister died there in 1925 aged 18 months (meningitis) my grandma and grandad moved out and my grandmas's dad took it over, he lived there right up until the 1940s, my dad moved back there during the war to work on Bradley estate. Then my grandad died in 1948 and the Hall and farm were sold.
