I now only buy tickets on the rollovers but put the money to one side on normal weeks so I can buy more tickets when the prize funds are larger.

@venator - I was moaning about the lotto to a man in a pub in Cornwall once.
He was retired from Ford in Liverpool.
I was saying odds of winning are so low ...blah blah ...then he said "but I won £65,000 for 5 numbers and bonus ball" ...
He said he decided to cut down his drinking due to lack of funds and because he was now only out on Friday nights and no longer Wednesday and Fridays , he got a lucky dip for the Wednesday lotto and won.
He was now out drinking two nights a week again :-)
