Why have I got an email from Twitter saying my password has been compromised and quoting my AB user name, when I don't have a Twitter account?

Do you use gmail at all craft? can you search your mail for "twitter" to double check you're not signed up?
Does anyone remember when, ages ago, that car forum "stole" (in the sense they copied and pasted information you all post online) questions, answers and swapped everyones name around? Might be a case of that... I guess spammers run out of names eventually?

All the time, but you're anonymous here, no one knows you. so they won't on tiwtter either.
They may want to know the answers to 3 down in the DM You Magazine though!
"They" being people in the "twittersphere"
Remember this craft: http://www.theanswerb...k/Question873361.html ?
the plot thickens!

In the last 36 hours, I have had 4 new style scam e-mails from a so called Lloyds centre asking for verification and looking very realistic. Its is so good that I am sure it will take some account holders. I have forwarded one onto Lloyds and they are asking you to forward such e-mails onto their security centre so they can build up a picture.
I would suggest that if you do receive any such scam e-mails for any of your accounts to do that.
I have also less recently received other "cruder" attempts with RBS, Alliance, Nationwide and NatWest and I only hold one account in those institutions and as with Lloyds, the e-mail was onto a secondary account in a dummy name that I use on some e-mails. That other bank also got a copy.
Just for the warning!
