Have just realised that the link I gave you relates to a program that extracts audio from various video formats EXCLUDING VOB files. The program I had used for extracting audio from Dvd (VOB) files, has unfortunately been removed from my PC and I cannot remember whence it came. However, there are numerous programs that will perform the task - just do a google search for Dvd audio extractor.
