but would some advice pls, first of all I have carpal tunnel, which I developed when pregnant with my second child many years ago, anyhow not wanting to bore you all, I painted for hrs on Monday, and was a bit stiff the next day nothing sore etc, anyhow I was clearing out the garage today lifting bags of cement etc, and I think I may have strained it?its not sore to move, but very sore inside even when i dont move it? does that make sense? I have taken Ibroprofen and paracetomal (not really helping the pain) I have no strenght in It either, can't even lift the kettle! any more suggestions as what I have done or anything else to take for the pain as it very very sore.
Manythanks
Oh! dear! well first of all it is not likely to be anything to do with your carpal tunnel operation and the most likely cause is that you have trapped or bruised a nerve (posterior interrosseus nerve syndrome)
Drop off the paracetamol and increase the Ibuprofen to 400mgms three times a day and monitor the situation for a fortnight.
If you don't have much ice, hold a pack of frozen peas or other vegetables on it to numb the pain. Along with painkillers, it works very well, believe it or not!
