Sociology for sort-of beginners
I'm not sure this is the best place for this question, but given that sociology is about people... anyway. I'd like to get an introductory sociology book, but not one for total beginners or, y'know, 'for dummies', as i've done a post-grad qualification in sociolinguistics so do have some background and am able to understand complex theory etc... If anyone's got any suggestions for a good place to start - either a textbook or a reader - that would be great.

Thanks to both of you - though if anyone can think of another i'm still interested to know - i'll probably check them out in the library before buying anyway.
Cheers!
