I went on a first date last night, with a girl I met last week. We met in a bar, I asked for her number and we went out. It was a great first date and she asked me to ring her next week for another meet.

The thing is, I want to make the second date even better than the first, but I don't want to seem overkeen and spoil things.

Have any ladies been swept off the feet and amazed by a date, because of a particular thng a man did or said? How can I make a lasting impression without ruining what could the start of something good?

There is a physical attraction between us, we both like music, sports and going out, but I am trying to play it cool...

Any suggestions?

It really depends on what you're both into.  My ex took me to a theme park for our first date and it was the best date I'd ever been on!
Anything that leads to conversations is good so trips to the cinema could be tricky.

You didn't say what you did on your first date.

We went to a bar for drinks..

You could always ask the lady if there is anything she would like to do for your 2nd date !

Failing that what sort of sport are you both into, there could be a match / game to go to. A night aty the dogs or if the first date went so well why not try it again.

if you like the same things how about concert tickets?
Try a picnic in an odd but not insane place.  A hamper of good food, decent bottle of fizz (or two), maybe a park, maybe a river bank.  Make sure you have enough blankets to keep her warm, and you can impress by preparing some food without the stress of her sitting in the lounge as you set fire to the pasta.  Have a strategy to end the day gracefully without pressure, and ask lots of questions in a drawn out, non-closet lunatic way.  Mostly, relax and me yourself (as you probably would we), as eventually any pretences get found out
My boyfriend took me to oxford to look at all the old buildings because on our first date I told him that is what i like and find intersting, that was 3 years ago, we are now expecting our first child in feburary. and he is "the one" Good Luck be yourself.

ice skating, football match ( if shes THAT into sports) Comedy gig, go karting, concert. My BIGGEST tip is to tell her she looks nice regardless of whether she does or not ! Good luck x

I agree with DJKC. Ask her.

If you choose something you only think she'll like, she may be bored stiff, and it may ruin things for you.

Perhaps suggest a few things and see which one she goes for.

I personally would like, picnic, riverboat journey, a fairground or theme park, roller/ice skating, hot air balloon, somewhere that allows you to make something like your own pottery or t shirt.

If you spend time with someone, it's not so much what you're doing or where you are that makes it a good time but how much you enjoy that person's company. So I wouldn't worry too much about the location or the activity, just be natural, treat her well and don't try too hard either to be cool or hot.

Take her to a concert/show and then drinks or coffee afterwards.

(sorry couldn't resist!)

Thanks AB ED,btw  what are you doing Saturday night?

lol ... ummm well have you talked about things you both like?? If you can remember something she said she really liked or seemed really animated about why don't you try and arrange the date around that .... or a flower (not loads cause that is a bit scary) that she may have said is her favourite or that is in her favourite colour (what colour top did she have on if she didn't say!) would be very sweet but not OTT ... Good luck!!
