How long should a tenant have to wait for the boiler to be repaired? No heating or hot water, heating I can go without fair enough.....but hot water. The repair was reported 2 weeks ago. A part had to be ordered, ok! then...then the company the landlord owns have been short staffed therefore the repair to the boiler was be delayed and as of today I still have no hot water, where do I stand?

What can you do? You've had one visit to ascertain it needs a part, the landlord must be paying for it, or you could pay and get it fixed quicker and try to recover the costs. It's inconvenient but not impossible to manage without a hot water supply from the taps, we had to manage a month or so ago and it was a pain but the part they had on the van didn't fit and then I was working 10 days straight and so they couldn't gain access to fit it.
