comes to end ,
wooford was shut down few months back today they have said they are shuting down the chaderton site.
big article in todays evening news but they have not put up the link yet.

they could use the old wooford site for lots of the smaller stuff, it was good enough for the vulcan and nimrod to use. it would be very handy for the people of stockport

London Southend is now essentially a freight airport, it is run by the Eddie Stobbart group. Though Easyjet are planning to use it in the near future.
Woodford and Chadderton were aircraft manufacturers sites. Woodford was run by BAe and was the former AVRO works and built the Lancaster bomber there (though Woodford is in Cheshire).
