Thanks, Chico, I never knew that. That explains why my flapjacks stick to the greaseproof paper even though I had oiled it. I'll try baking parchment next time!
Get yourself a re-usable teflon sheet - nothing sticks to it, it's re-useable again and again, and works out far cheaper than baking parchment. I find it's especially good if you're cooking something cheese topped - you know how that sticks - or beaten egg - i bought mine from Amazon for under a fiver with a five year guarantee

I had only greaseroof paper and unfortunately my pavlova stuck so we had eton mess instead.
As a keen recycler I like the sound of the reuseable stuff so I'll certainly be getting some of that.
