he also designed the cathedral in Christchurch, NZ, largely knocked down by an earthquake this year

Mr Cupid worked there during the eighties and took school parties around,they were amazed at the history of both the hotel and the train shed.
The hotel staircase is a masterpiece, and the cellar was a rabbit warren, the undercroft where Eurostar now departs was the storage area for beer from Burton.
