Lourdes Holy water Flight "allowance"?
I am soon going on a pilgrimage to Lourdes to 'take the waters' and bathe in the Grotto.A man I know who has been many times overland seems pretty sure when he tells me you are NOT allowed to bring ANY back (in a plastic bottle) on an aircraft going INTO the UK.I know there is a regulation (anti -terrorist regs) concerning taking no more than 100mls of any liquid through security flying OUT of the UK. Can anyone enlighten me as I really want to bring some Lourdes water (2ltrs) back ??

However this limit applies to what you can bring in carry-on luggage in the cabin, it does not limit what you can bring into the checked luggage in the hold. You should have no difficulty with the security people with water in the hold.
Be aware that the hold is neither pressurised nor heated, so fill the bottle almost full (to avoid air trapped in the bottle expanding in the reduced pressure at 30000ft). The short journey from S France should not result in enough time for the whole bottle to freeze.
