if after a plea and case managment appearance at crown court, the judge adjourn's sentencing for pre sentence reports, when someone return,s for sentancing will he face the same judge ?

It's usually a different judge. (It's simply down to whichever courtroom the Listings Clerk allocates sentencing to).
