What happened to M&S's quality control?
Mens T shirts, the seams are so squiffy when trying to iron them, arghh!!
is this because they outsource their garment making now? maybe not but when they had their various sewing establishments based here in the UK, the quality seemed better to me

It wasn't sarcasm Bobbi - it was a question, we are on a Q & A site after all. I suggest you recognise this and stop being so defensive.
I was asking as you may now be paying a 5th of what you might have in the past - possibly adjusting what you consider a "normal" price for things would mean you don't have to deal with wonky seams etc.

stretched over me no creases at all... but seriously I feel M and S has really gone down hill but with T shirts (which I see as essentially disposable clothes in that I buy about a dozen in the seasons biggest colours every summer and just dump them if they look tired..) . if you want them to last its going to be a case of paying around £20 each from a more upmarket outlet and to be honest I can't see the point...
Although I will buy the odd one or two from companies specialising in topical designs or with good slogans etc I also make up transfers and design and print my own

i think m & s are great. i've always found their packs of knickers to be good value, a good fit, and good quality, same with their bras. their basic t-shirts are good value too, i've some which are maybe 8 years old and worn regularly. they're only a few £££s each.
i also like their linen tops which are a good fit for me. linen is what it is, creasy fabric, but personally i don't think it detracts from the garment and rather like the crumpled linen look.
doesn't mean to say i don't buy stuff from other places too though. i buy what i like and what suits and fits me, doesn't matter where it's from. i've some really nice linen things from matalan, and cotton pedal pushers from there too, and BHS.
personally i think m & s are still very good quality.
