�Eagle� was the name given to the lunar landing module.

The command module, piloted by Michael Collins, was called 'Columbia'.

It might be that the "Eagle" means the Americans, as their emblem, or whatever it's called, is the Eagle.

Remember also that they were in a race to get to the moon first with the Russians, so I think it might have meant "Up Yours" to the Russians.
