Cold. Although I like them when they`ve just been cooked and are still hot.
you deep fry them to cook them, i would eat them using a hand to mouth action :-)
Do you mean how is it cooked? They're eaten cold aren't they?

Boil it. Twice. In milk.

snags - No. Way
It is eaten by placing bits of it in the mouth, or by taking a bite, and swallowing.

Mmmm I like scotch eggs, but they are a rare high Calorie treat.
the ones you get in supermarket are already cooked. Just eat it cold with whatever you want.
Is this question a wind up?

I'd still go with the boiling in milk thing...

OK :)
Make your own, much more satisfying and you can eat straight from the high fat deep fryer or cold when they have drained on kitchen paper. I used to make them at times for a treat, the family loved them.
Sliced on toast is the way to go..............
cold, never heard of them being cooked afterwards>
If you're actually looking for a serious answer, Scotch Eggs are eaten cold, just as they're sold in the shops. (They're already cooked).

Thanks Buenchico

Never tried them before so didn't know how the eaten.
Actually you can make them by cooking in the oven as well. Hard boil egg. Surround said egg with sausage meat about 1/2 inch thick. Roll in flour, beaten egg and then breadcrumbs. Cook in oven about 5 until slightly brown (about 40minutes. Enjoy. Much less of a faff than deep frying and not quite so fatty.
i like the idea of boiling them in milk, i think i may be tempted to try heating them gently in cream, just for that extra luxurious touch
I like them as they're bought with some hot, English mustard. Yum! If homemade, then the egg needs to be slightly 'soft' not totally hard-boiled.
Eat them cold I just love them but the supermarket ones are real ***, you must make your own!!
