I blame my Mam for this :-(
sweeping all knives and forks off the table and opening windows to let it pass through
if I disappear in a puff of smoke because I am on here,
it was good while it lasted :o((((

I love watching storms with loads of lightening and thunder. My dad used to carry me to a window to watch when I was a mere little tot. We lived in a block of flats and he used to take me to the large window on one of the landings. I loved my Dad.

My aunt used to hide in the coal cupboard at the first sign of a thunder storm (we had coal fires in those days). I was afraid to keep a metal hair clip in my hair in case the lightning struck it - my mother said lightning always struck metal. Amazing what we become afraid of because of what other people tell us.
