Good morning one and all - North Wales looking decidedly drier and brighter today. Noraq's away on her holidays today - did she mention that? - a couple of weeks in Turkey - lucky bu99er. Have a great time, flame haired beauty and bring us a stick of rock back!!
Watching the fishermen at Moelfre last time I was up they were not catching anything probably due to the presence of a grey seal that kept popping up right where they were hoping to catch stuff
Morning welshy, Morning all. Not stopping this morning - busy day. Nothing exciting - just about time I did certain chores, like changing the curtains and a few other things.
Morning WelshYorkie, just reading the threads about North Wales years ago. Spent many happy holidays there as child. I had a drive out to Rhyl last Sunday. Luckily stayed dry enough for a walk along prom. Robin Hood And Lyons camp etc still seemed as busy as old times, although lots of places closed down, as in most places these days.
Morning Dr Filth, re your reminiscing about Rhyl. If you went on the fair you'll remember that ride called The Mad Mouse! Terrfying rollercoaster ride where you thought you were about to be thrown off the edge at the highest point! Put me off roller coasters for life!
Nannymarg - it's been a fair few months since I was last in Rhyl and walked along the prom but I will have a walk down there on saturday, if it's fine and see what improvements they've made over the last couple of years. Must remember to stay away from The Palace - I always spend a bloody fortune in there!!
Didnt visit Palace on Sunday Welsh but know what you mean! Just quick look in the Red Rose shopping precinct then fish and chips for lunch, walk along prom then drive back to Cheshire thru the hills, (small hills compared to Snowdon mind), but enough to lift my spirits.
Hi mumsie, all of Wales is lovely but I usually visit North Wales as closer to Cheshire where I live, (which is beautiful too) But the mountains of Snowdonia are stunning.
