credit card payment

I have just getting my first credit card and recieved a statment/bill  do I just take this into my bank with the amount I want to pay/ and do you have to fill in a paying in slip?

At the bottom of the bill is a paying in counterfoil. Either take that into the bank or send a cheque off.

Try to make sure that you pay off the total amount so that you don't incur any interest.

Also, why not arrrange for a direct debit for the minimum (or full) p[ayment. If you forget a payment, not only can it effect your credit score, the credit card company will charge you a fee

I'd set up a direct debit for at least the minimum payment. I'm quite forgetful so this saves me missing one month's payment altogether and incurring a �30 (or whatever it is) fee.

To save you a trip to the bank, you should also be able to phone your credit card company and read out your debit card number to make this payment (or phone your bank and have them send it). Or post a cheque.
