autism assessments where to get copies
14 Answers
Hi Everyone.
I am desperate for a free copy of some autism assessments. You seem to have to pay for them all online.
Is anyone able to send me a copy of either of the following:-
ADI-R or A.D.O.S or D.I.S.C.O
or provide me with a link to download for free.
Grateful and thanks

We are having to do everything privately with a solicitor and it is costing a fortune paying for independent assessments that will be outdated by the time they give us a date for a tribunal. For that reason myself and two of my friends who are also health care professionals want to do the assessments ourselves
Ok, fair one. TBH you've probably got a greater understanding of the situation than I have.
Out of curiosity, whereabouts in the country are you? My son is high-functioning Autistic, and has lived under 4 different LEAs and Health Authorities since diagnosis. Two have been outstanding and done evertything they can to help, and the other two have been deplorable

why did they refuse a diagnosis initially? I know a few parents who have appealed, in all the cases they have not been successful. Maybe your child is not fitting the triad?
considering the triad is the main part of the diagnosis process, if they have discounted it then he may have another condition similar but not autism. Have you looked into atypical autism? ( PDD-NOS)

Get your Doctor to help he should be able to recomend your childs case to your councils disability teams who will then carry out the assesments for you,the thing is to keep going and fight your corner i have been 16 months sorting my sons case out but i am nearly sorted, another suggestion is to contact your new MP mine pointed me in the right directions.
