We had to FIND information, read it, write down the appropriate parts and somehow remember it ... a valuable part of learning.
The ability to CTRL+C, CTRL+V and CTRL+P might appease the teacher, but it's not going to get you further than, "would you like fries with that?" in later life.

But using the internet still requires finding the information, reading it, and then using it - but people also need to develop another skill of discerning what is correct and what is tosh.
Of course some people will just copy and paste, but then in the "old days" some people just sat and copied from enyclopaedias, one another, etc.
