apparently there is a kind of triage system when it comes to bad news - you are only allowed to comment or care about the most serious one... you cannot comment without acknowledging every other sad bit of news that day, otherwise you will be berated for choosing to mention the least important one ...because if you don't mention them all, it means you dont care enough about other tragedies....and will be faced with a chorus of " but what about...*insert tragedy*, why does no-one seem to care about them eh?"
