Hydrangias

My friend has had an hydrangia bought for her and she says that its an indoor one.She wants to know if she can plant it outside when it dies?Imust admit Ididnt know you could buy indoor hydrangias.Thankyou.

Put it on the compost heap when it dies!!

They are just forced to be used as house plants. Once it has finished flowering it can be planted outside.

I've never heard of an indoor hydrangea. I wouldn't have thought it would make a good houseplant as it'll shed its leaves. Do you know what type it is?
If it's fully hardy I'd be inclined to plant it straight into the garden.
