If I may - her granddaughter is out of the special care unit and all is well! Welshy, I love the Llanberis Pass, especially after the rain and you can see all those colours in the rock face just twinkling back at you. Going up there in the 60's the roads were not as good either but things have improved so much since then.

thank you ttfn - it couldn't be better (although surgeon wasn't best pleased I'd been driving the neddies for the last three weeks) nice to have the update on baby too - glad to hear all is going well.

ttfn - thanks for the update, i'm really glad to hear everything's ok. The rock faces are particularly spectacular as you say and to look down from the side of Snowdon down the pass is like nothing else. Then drive down to Capel Curig and then on to Betws y Coed - superb.

Govt trying to bring in a 'carbon pricing system' not a 'tax' but when govt wants money in any way shape or form, it's usually a tax.
Probably a good thing in the long run but most seem dead set against it

welshie I used to live in a little cottage in Capel Curig and worked at The Waterloo? in Betws y coed - loved it, absolutely stunning scenery

The Waterloo in Betws y Coed? My company did some works there - must be about 15 years ago - adding extra bedrooms etc. I love Betws - especially in the summer when the bikers come rolling in - some beautiful bikes turn up and some of the biker women - well, phew , it's getting a bit warm in here must open the window!!

Good morning welshy and everyone else. Weekend? My daughter came yesterday and went through this house like a dose of salts, tidying everything away. Now I can't find anything. She reckons I am untidy! Moi? Untidy? I know where everything is - well I did before she tidied me up. It's a wonder she didn't put me in the cupboard with the rest of the stuff. I don't know how her poor husband puts up with her. Actually, she is lovely and looks after me a treat.

Morning all, warm but cloudy here in Notts in fact another day that could go either way. I know just what you mean starbuck, after I split with my ex I lived by myself for 5 years and every 4-5 weeks my sisters would descend on me and blitz the house. It was nice of them but as you say you can never find anything and I'd just get everything back in place and they'd turn up again.

Morning all had quite a busy weekend, son, daughter, grand children etc. But this morning just can't get motivated; bit of a headache and feel like I've been through a hedge backwards. So think I will have a quiet day and do very little.
