I used to love Dave Allen, now he really was funny and clever with it. In days when they weren't allowed to swear or be crude they had to be witty!

Micheal McIntyre is the modern version of Ben Elton - shout loud enough and someone somewhere might laugh, but not me I'm afraid I find him very cringeworthy.

I don't accept this. Personally I hated the late Bernard Manning and I don't find Michael Gove as funny these days. However I think comedy is just a matter of taste and the fact I don't find something funny could be just my problem :)
