Hello Bunechino,
You seem to know an awfull lot about visas and criminal past. I want to ask you a question in this matter regarding myself. I've got the Visa waiver application approved by checking no in the box about crimes because "And I have not been arrested or convicted for more than two offenses for which the aggregated sentences was five years or more. (though, I was caught with shoplifting in 1993 and 1995 and got a fine but it's not in any of my policerecords. I called the embassy and they gave me the advice to apply for a visa. Iwas honset in my visa application and am now waiting for to get my visa granted mow). I got the answer ", we submitted a waiver of ineligibility on your behalf to the Department" and I don't understand what that means and don't get any anwer from them. Do you know what it means?
And another thing. They still hold my passport. So, what would happen If I applied for a temporary passport (its an e-passport), and filled in an new Wisa vaiver application with the new passportnumber. Do the crosscheck my old application and passportnumber with the embassy, DHS or Departement of state or travel.state.gov or other institutes?
I am kind of desperate here, I had honestly forgotten aboout my past crimes and basically got a chock when I realised that this could be a problem. I had already orded and payd my trip when I found this out about the visas and the waiver program. And this trip is a birthdaypresent to my daughter and it would break my heart telling her we cant go
Thankful for an answer from you eaven though this is an odd way of contacting you.
