Yes, but people have no money so are spreading the cost - I wouldn't actively go Christmas shopping but we have already bought a few bits and pieces as we can afford them (and when we see something just right for someone).
We have been selling diaries and calendars for next year for a while now - I thought that it was just Oxfam being numpties but all the charity shops are the same.

I am not that organised.

Yes Boxy, I suppose I do that too. Especially the little bits and pieces for stocking fillers which can soon mount up.

I can understand the reason to spread the cost of Christmas over the year, it does make financial sense. This however is taking the proverbial P. I know that they start earlier each year it seems but it's still only July.. isn't it?
The footy season hasn't kicked off yet (Premiership)
At work the 2012 kids annuals have started to arrive already, a month earlier than last year,
according to the article, they normally launch them in August. therefore they are doing it about 4 days early. Big Whoop.
when we were on holiday in Malta, the shops were full of souvenir photocalendars for 2012 (we bought one...)
Bonkers, i really hate this, you don't have time to get through spring, summer, before getting the xmas tree down from the loft, some people may like it but not me.
