Everybody seems to be thinking of other ways to spend this vast sum, so how's this for an idea: I'd use it toreduce Income Tax. I haven't done the sums but I believe Income Tax is forecast toraise about £150bn this year, so taxpayers could expect to see a reduction of a little over 10%.

You've got your question the wrong way round Gromit. The money has already been spent. Its the poor souls with decreasing pensions and also the underprivileged with meagre finances who are having to pay for it.
