there have been several threads hijacked this evening by those with 'agendas'- and several thread opened by the same postees with (imo) of inciting rubbish - realise it's a difficult thing to monitor but feel this site is getting infiltrated - it used to be so nice!

the clot talking about ladies seems to have been suspended. Chris says there are moderators around tonight so I imagine anyone becoming obnoxious will be sat on.

But what I don't understand is what can be achieved by posting such posts. They wind people up a bit but they are usually zapped quickly. There are some odd people in the world.

jno and wolf63 - the wind up was so obvious - that's my point - AB has always been (to me) mostly very friendly and helpful -can't understand the need to put a spanner in the works.

it didn't really start out as an obvious wind-up. He was only saying the sort of thing joeluke says all the time. I thought he was probably a troll but as he hadn't said anything really trollish last time I looked, I didn't report him. You've got to allow a certain amount of scope for people to be just silly, imho.

jno - silly yes but (and am not going to recreate the whole scenario) my post was based on observation over time.

fair enough, carmalee. All you can do is report them. Weekends are always tricky because newbies are drunk and the Ed has gone home. Really objectionable stuff will get zapped if there are mods around, but stuff that's just irritating rather than obscene will probably hang around till Monday.

jno - I know the form AB takes, I was merely stating an opinion that threads had been hijacked d - on't recall mentioning the word obscene -just making a point that an exchange of views doesn't have to become a rant.
