We have a difference of opinion in a quiz we are doing, looking for help please

They can be pulled up but only a little (5)

Someone says BRIEF someone else says SOCKS

Any opinions???

Sorry for that - I can't think of anything else, 'Brief' isn't plural, so I'd prefer 'Socks'...

Are other Q's cryptically inclined or standard?

Thanks for that. The Q's are a mixture of cryptic and standard. 60 in total and this one is proving a talking point.

I'd also go for socks (pull you socks up). Re knickerbocker-it's usually used in the plural-knickerbockers-a type of men's or boys' trousers. Tabard-a clever clue!
